POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a person that is passionate about niche beverages and giving incredible customer service. The Bartender will be responsible for fulfilling drink orders, plating simple edible offerings, and maintaining a clean, organized bar while serving customers in a professional and positive manner. The ideal candidate is familiar with serving cider, beer and wine but is also interested in learning more about these fermented products. Our success is dependent on building a strong team and we are searching for Bartenders who have excellent service skills, express an interest in expanding their beverage knowledge, and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic and dynamic environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and welcome guests

  • Educate customers on menu options, including food menu items and ingredients

  • Take and place food and beverage orders

  • Serve drinks, including non-alcoholic beverages

  • Plate and serve a small menu of simple food options

  • Clear tables of empty plates and glassware

  • Prepare final bill and handle payment

  • Assist with bar inventory

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary bar area

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and attend to any issues quickly and promptly

  • Continuously find ways to exceed guest expectations by anticipating their needs and proactively fulfilling them

  • Complete any side work as directed by management which could include duties like washing dishes, cleaning and other activities

  • Abide and comply with all rules and regulations set forth by the Montana Alcoholic Beverage Control Division and Flathead City-County Health Department

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates with a history of working in a restaurant or bar preferred

  • LEAD or TIPS and food handling certification required

  • Is driven by a commitment to create an unparalleled drinking and dining experience through seamless, gracious, and thoughtful service

  • Has a strong grasp of cider, wine, and beer knowledge or the work ethic and deep curiosity to learn

  • Has a solid foundation of food knowledge

  • Works well in a team setting and is able to work independently when required

  • Is able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Shows professionalism and poise when interacting with guests and co-workers

  • Demonstrates consistent punctuality in attendance and flexibility in scheduling

  • Is able to closely follow procedures and instruction

  • Can handle physical and environmental requirements: continuous standing and occasionally carrying or moving heavy loads; occasional environmental exposure to cold, heat and water

  • Has experience using various types of restaurant machinery and equipment including, but not limited to: cash register, restaurant POS system, beverage dispensing equipment

  • Has knowledge of food safety and health regulations

  • Has strong cash handling skills

  • Willing to work weekends and late nights
